All proceeds from OKC Charity Fight Night  benefit the Oklahoma City Police Athletic League, or PAL, for short. PAL is dedicated to reducing crime by providing safe, healthy alternatives for children from high risk neighborhoods and is available to all children who wish to participate. The Oklahoma City Police Athletic League believes children can stay away from negative lifestyle choices, such as gangs and drugs, when offered positive, healthy alternatives.  PAL offers several athletic and educational programs for thousands of Oklahoma City children each year.             “The OKC Charity Fight Night committee wanted to create a premier event that would also give back to our community and PAL is the perfect fit,” said Dick Horton, OKC Charity Fight Night event chairman. “The boxing ring offers the perfect analogy to inspire these children. When life knocks you down, you get right back up and fight your way back,” said Horton. OKC Charity Fight Night is proud to announce Sugar Ray Leonard as this coming year’s Celebrity Host.  Sugar Ray Leonard is a profound boxer of the 20th century, whose very name epitomizes boxing and conjures the image of a champion. Leonard started boxing at the age of 14. In 1976, he won a gold medal in boxing at the Olympic games and by age 20, had won his first professional fight.
