OKLAHOMA CITY (June 30, 2017) – Heart disease kills one woman every minute! One in three women will suffer from heart disease in their lifetime and Hispanic women are at an even greater risk of cardiovascular disease due to their higher rates of high blood pressure, cholesterol, obesity and diabetes. Join the INTEGRIS Hispanic Initiative, the American Heart Association, and Emanuel Baptist for a series of free nutrition classes and food demonstrations designed to increase the awareness and educate women on heart disease in the Hispanic population.


Participants will learn more about nutrition, food portions, healthy choices and easy meal preparation  as well as have an opportunity to received great door prizes. Classes will be held weekly from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the month of July beginning Thursday, July 6, at Emanuel Baptist Church: 3412 S Walker Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73109.
