(El Paso) – The week of April 22nd-28th is National Crime Victims’ Rights Week in the United States. Across the nation, thousands of communities, organizations, and individuals will join together to pay tribute to crime victims and advocate for victims’ rights.
Annual Crime Victims' Memorial Ceremony
THIS SUNDAY – April 22, 2012

The memorial service will pay tribute to those in the El Paso community who have lost their lives to violent crime. A bell will ring followed by the reading of 1,374 names engraved on the Crime Victims’ Memorial. The ceremony will also recognize the 67 names of victims added to the memorial this year. The program will feature an inspirational presentation by crime victims, members of law enforcement, and victim advocates to include music by Bel Air High School Bag Pipe Band.
Area crime victims and victim advocates will be on hand for media interviews. The public is encouraged to attend this free event honoring crime victims in the El Paso Community.
